COLUMBUS JAZZKLUB

Lantos Zoltán Babos Gyula Kaltenecker Zsolt

Columbus is a permanently moored ship located on the Pest side of the Danube occupying a commanding position and a most favoured spot by the tourists. Its hall was acoustically converted for the special demands of jazz concerts so a real concert experience is waiting for the visitors.
However the experience would not be complete without the culinary delight being conjured up in the kitchen with the appetizing abundant courses.

Here the attractive venue as well as the high standard service is combined with the concerts of the outstanding Hungarian jazz musicians performing each night.

The club is open daily from January 10, 2005 from 8.30 p.m. and waiting for jazz aficionados who will find groups performing regularly with the leadership of the Association of Hungarian Jazz Musicians' members. The Association is aiming to provide opportunity to the Hungarian jazz artists as well as introducing young musicians which usually take place on Sundays and Mondays on guest concert days or with the invitation of guest soloists.

According to the further plans international guest musicians with their own production or as guest soloist will be part of the club's programmes. We also have seasonal mini-festivals in the pipeline with the members of the organisation and its guests indulge the audience with unique and unusual formations and programmes.

Concerts start at 8 p.m and take for 2 x 45 minutes. We highly recommend to reserve table in advance by calling the following number (+36) 1/266 90 13. Entrance fee is 1000 HUF with valid student card 950 HUF.
