Dés
László: Street Music - DVD
A real street jam inspired the birth of the new album of
Dés László, which appeared in April 2005. The album Street
Music is an especial jazz-quintessence, where the audience
can hear lot more of the virtuosity and the humorous harmonies,
that characterizes the music-world of Dés and also the world
of the other excellent instrumentalists. Nevertheless the
Street Music can be labeled as the continuation of the album
Segments. The DVD recorded at the tour that followed the
attendance of the album is available now, and you can also
find extras about the Concert of Joy - with the contribution
of Randy Brecker- that was kept in the19th of August. (2005.11.23.)

Dés
László - Balázs Elemér Quartet and the Voces4 Ensemble represents
Contemporary Gregorian production
Dés László - Balázs Elemér Quartet and the Voces4
Ensemble keeps their premier at the Music Academy on the
9th of January 2006. Contemporary Gregorian allies two different
genres and originates a third one from a four member singer
group and a free-style jazz-quartet. It mingles the music
of the middle ages, the renaissance with the genres of the
21st century, the previous inspires the latter. We can find
the plain chant Gregorian from the 7th century to the polyphonic
organs of the 16th century and also the motettas of the
renaissance. Jazz improvisations are answering and keeping
the solos up. That mix gave birth for the 'Contemporary
Gregorian Free Jazz Music'. Tickets are available at the
Ticket
Express network, in the offices of Szerencsejáték PLC,
and at the checkouts of the Music Academy.

Modern
Art Orchestra (MAO)
After seven years of playing with Budapest Jazz Orchestra
(BJO) Fekete-Kovács Kornél continues with the creative core
of BJO at the Modern Art Orchestra. (Soon its web page will
be available www.mao.hu)
Modern Art Orchestra has no traditional set-up, the band
stands together with 3 trumpets, 2 horns, 2 trumps, tuba,
bass clarinet, 2 clarinets, 2 flutes, piano, guitar, bass
and a drum. The ensemble follows the BJO-way, but would
likely be more committed to the Hungarian jazz and contemporary
music.
